OK, so I have been a bit slack and didn't finish writing the rest of what has happened so far..... so here's the rest to bring you up to date.
Between week 22 and now I've been feeling fab. My favourite foods are peanut butter and honey toast, mandarins and papaya. I really miss chilli, but need to stay away from it for a while to help with heartburn. Every week I got to prenatal yoga on Wednesday nights (since wk 12) and deep water aquarobics Saturday morning. Every day I take a 30min walk at lunchtime, rain hail or shine. Thankfully Robyn is as keen on walking as I am! We do get some strange comments from people: "oh you are going to walk up a hill??? You're crazy!" but we think they are the crazy ones.
That's it.
Now the little bean is not so little any more, today I got lots of pushes and gentle rolls mostly under my ribs. I am even getting movements whilst walking around now. Bean and I went shopping at Miranda today and got a cot mattress protector, and a super-sized mens tracksuit top to keep my big belly warm. We also got a bargain maternity bra and I nearly died when the lady in the shop fitted me and discovered that I have gone up 4 sizes! I wonder whether there are three babies in there - one in my tummy and one in each boob??
We saw Aunty Carol and Susie at the shops too. What a great surprise!! They gave us lots of nice tummy rubs :)
Daddy sang a song to Bean and got kicked in the head this afternoon LOL (this happens quite a lot)
Gran and I went and did the hospital tour yesterday and we were both very impressed. It's more like a home than a hospital, warm and cosy, and all the medical equipment is hidden in cupboards. The midwives are lovely, and we saw our midwife, little Le West, whilst we were there. It was so reassuring to see that the hospital is as good as everyone says it is. Note to self - pack bag for hospital soon.
Daddy's on night shift tonight so that means we get to watch Masterchef woo hooo
tomorrow we go shopping for the cot mattress!
Heres a pic of me in the super-sized trakky top
Oh I miss Robyn!
ReplyDeleteTalking about mat bras....I went from B to DD! And I had to buy the biggest bras at Kmart after I had baby No.2. I’m sure you boobs will go up another size or two when you start breastfeeding. LOL.
